Niseko Grand Hirafu Ski Resort will celebrate its 50th anniversary on 17 December 2011! In this special anniversary year, the resort will present an array of new facilities including a new, faster gondola, a brand new mountain center, and a plethora of unique events to add to the celebratory mood! Events include: ★Hirafu's 50th Anniversary Day! 17 December ●Lucky "50" presents The first fifty customers at each lift ticket counter in Grand Hirafu will receive free gifts! In addition, those who were born on 17 Dec 1961 will get something more! ●Demonstration of skiing with a single long bamboo pole (10am, 12pm, 2pm) This skiing technique, introduced by Lieutenant Colonel Lerch 100 years ago, will be demonstrated around Hirafu. ●50th Anniversary Live - KiKi Soulful Night in Tanta-an 18:00～ Performers: KiKi & Willie Kiki and Willie will perform, including old-fashioned ski-themed songs.
