Japan has many fantastic festivals throughout every season of the year but the biggest of the summer festivals take some beating. If you’re lucky enough to be in Eastern Japan during early August, you have some of the very best to choose from including the crazy Nebuta Festival in Aomori and the colourful Tanabata Festival in Sendai.
