to all things Niseko

We spent the first few days of 2010 skiing at Niseko which is arguably the best skiing resort in Hokkaido. It has the most graceful landscape, especially the trees, I have ever seen.
It’s an entirely different experience skiing in Hokkaido. Epic storms occur regularly dumping a couple feet of fluffy white stuff each time. If those old lifts got locked down, it’s time to explore all the restaurants this charming little town has to offer. At A-Bu-Cha, our favorite cafe, we had all kinds of seafood, hot pots, sakes, and even pastries that melted our hearts. And you can always go back to night skiing to burn the calories, or *chill* out in one of the onsens.
It’s definitely memory that can be a little bit faded but never replaced.
