Save your own seed. April 1 2010, 2:35pm via nisekogreenfarm.com

From most of the tomatoes you buy from Niseko Green Farm, you can save your own seed. It is really easy and fun to do.

Follow these easy steps and you can have a life time supply of your favourite tomatoes.

Let the seeds and the pulp ferment for 7-10 days. After fermenting add to a large cup or bucket. Add lots of water. The seeds will sink to the bottom. Poor of the debris. Keep repeating this process. the water will get more clear every time. Continue until the liquid is clear. Put the wet seeds in something to dry them in. Something like a sieve. Keep them dark and not too warm and good air circulation is important! Separate the seeds and store them air tight, dark and cool.
